Caribbean Poker Rules and Pointers

[ English ]

Internet poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the other players are given 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning wager, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes immediately to the casino. After the wager is the conclusion. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a figure on par with the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pays money equal to your bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
