Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the western in an excellent game for new players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers bet against other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to worry about other, more skillful gamblers taking their $$$$.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the fairly slow game pace, novices can take their time and plan without having to make quick selections.
It is also much simpler to gamble on for an extended time with basically a little bit of cash after all, to lose, each of your hands needs to be lower than each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is given seven cards faces showing and the casino is dealt seven cards face down.
A five card hand and one two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
