Newcomer Tactics for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the western in an excellent game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the casino, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers wager against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, new players don’t have to be concerned about other, more advanced players taking their cash.

A further Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, newcomers are able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make frenzied decisions.

It is also much simpler to enjoy for an extended time with only a small amount of cash seeing as, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the croupier receives seven cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
